Summary:

This GURLEY Air Permeability Tester is professionally designed for the determination of air permeability of decorating materials used in cars, e.g. polyurethane, expanded plastics, PVC, leather, textiles, nonwovens and other materials. Through the test, physical characteristics of materials could be controlled to meet practical application requirements.

 

It is a GURLEY type air permeability tester which evaluates the air permeability of paper and paperboard and wool fabrics according to the measurement method of Gurley testing machine.The air is compressed by the weight of a vertical cylinder floating in a liquid. A test piece is in contact with the compressed air and the cylinder falls steadily as air passes through the test piece. The time for a given volume of air to pass through the test piece, i.e. the air resistance is measured and from this the air permeance is calculated.
