Summary:
Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer (STA) combines TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis) with DTA (Differential Thermal Analysis) or DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry), in which we can get the information of TG and DTA or DSC in synchrony using the same sample during
the same operation.

 
Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer (STA) measures DSC and TGA simultaneously in a single unit. It allows the investigation of Thermogravimetric
(TG) effects coupled with the recording of a Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) heat flow signal.
 
TGA and DSC are the most common combination of analysis techniques found in simultaneous thermal analyzers (STAs). A combinatorial approach allows one instrument to collect multiple types of information simultaneously-in this case measuring a material's response to stress by DSC along with mass changes in response to temperature and time with TGA. The two are able to work compatibly as test conditions are the same for both techniques. Simultaneous analyzers are useful for analysis of polymers, food, nanomaterials, metals, and oil, among other materials.
